Format is PACE match play qualifying (7/5/3/1).After the first 6 qualifying rounds, players who do not achieve 30 points are out.Rounds following the first 6 qualifying rounds will have the target score increase by +5.The final 8 players who are not eliminated will compete in a PAPA (4/2/1/0) style finals.
Practice at 1pm, Tournament at 2pm.

Description: EinStein's PhysXXX Syllabus - Fall Semester Q2 2025
Instructor: Space City Pinball League
Course Curriculum: The PhysXXX curriculum includes interactions of matter and energy, velocity, accelerations, force, and momentum. Space Cadets will test their skills to manipulate physical matter using electricity and mechanical engineering constructs.
Course Instructions: SCPL Cadets will assembly in small study groups of 3-4. Each group will attempt to outperform their group peers in a test of skill on one of the specialized electromechanical PhysXXX simulators available.
SCPL Cadets will perform 3 rounds of 2 games each class session. The series will be 6 weeks long with a minimum attendance of 4 weeks. Cadets desiring to audit for less than 4 weeks are welcome to attend.
On the last scheduled date of class after qualifying rounds a class finals will held. The top 4 qualifying SCPL Cadets will compete in a PAPA style finals.
Material's List: $1 for IFPA fees & coin-drop
Prerequisite: age 21+, familiarity with concepts such as "fun" and "a good time"
Electronic Devices: Students should be able to access http://app.matchplay.events/ on a personal electronic device.

Every Tuesday night starting at 7:00 PM for 6 weeks we will have 4 rounds of two games match play qualifying, with points accumulating for the length of the league, and the top qualifiers will play in a playoff on the 7th week.

Description: Space City Pinball presents a Week of WPPRS! Join us for a 8 rounds of group matchplay (7-5-3-1) at EinStein's Pub the night before the Houston Arcade Expo. No finals. Ties will be automatically broken with most first and second place finishes.
Traffic can be bad on I-10. Allow time. Take the HOV if you can. Check in at 6:45pm. Tournament starts at 7pm sharp.
$1 IFPA fee. Coin drop. There is a coin machine. Most games are 75 cents. There is usually a hamburger with fries special that night.
Please note this tournament will be at the EinStein's in Katy, TX. While smoking is allowed in the bar, we ask that you do not smoke in the tournament room.

There will be two unique qualifying groups (Early & Late), each following a 12 round matchplay format. Each round, competitors will be placed in groups of four and play on one randomly chosen machine. Players will earn points based on how many opponents they beat in the round (3, 2, 1, or 0). Points will accumulate across the twelve rounds to determine each players overall qualifying score. Players may only play in one qualifying group.
The top 16 qualifiers from each qualifying group (32 total) will compete in the finals for trophies and cash prizes. During finals, players will be placed in groups of four and will play three games. Players will score points on each game based on finishing position (4-2-1-0 scoring). After three games, the two players from each group with the most points will advance to the next round.
Player limit is capped at 128. Pre-registration will be on August 30, 2025 at 11AM. See website for info on how to pre-register.

Space City Pinball is recruiting cadets to assist with launch readiness testing in the hours preceding the SCO liftoff!
Your primary objective is to stress test and gather data on our launch vehicles. Players are expected to remain calm during any and all launch failures.
The event will take place at 10am the morning of the first Space City Open qualifying session in the tournament room.
This tournament is capped at 48 players. Pre-registration opens on Matchplay.events on Saturday, November 8 at 10am and will include a waitlist. The link will be posted here on the SCPL calendar at that time.
Format Fair strikes format. 5 strikes per player. (0-1-2 in 3 player groups, 0-1-1-2 in 4 player groups). Swiss pairing. Balanced game selection. Balanced player order. 48 player limit. The tournament will be managed using the next.matchplay.events website. The IFPA/PAPA rules will be used. Proper etiquette is expected.
Pre-Registration and Fees There will be a $5 fee, paid in CASH at check in. Fees will be used to cover awards and miscellaneous expenses.
Any remaining fees will be paid out to the highest finishing finalists: 40% to 1st, 30% to 2nd, 20% to 3rd, and 10% to 4th.

The Belles of Space City Interstellar Showdown Women’s Pinball Tournament at the Houston Arcade Expo!
Women of all ages are invited to a cosmic battle of skill that will test their mastery of gravitational fields over metal spheres. Battle-ready earthlings will target jackpots and nudge their way around the unknown terrors of outer space to avoid the deep black hole straight down the middle. If you have what it takes to be a space cadette, register for the Interstellar Showdown!
This matchplay tournament will take place during the Houston Arcade Expo with qualifying rounds on Saturday, November 15 and finals for the top 8 on Sunday, November 16. A Houston Arcade Expo show pass is required to participate.
Check in on Saturday between 3-4pm or between 7-7:30pm at the tournament desk where an entry fee of $10 CASH will be collected. YOU MAY NOT PAY VIRTUALLY.
We will meet in the tournament room on Saturday at 7:45pm for announcements and a group picture so the tournament may begin promptly at 8pm. We will walk together to the show floor on the other side of the hotel for the tournament.
Games on both the show floor and the tournament room will be used. It is our intention to use the games in the Space City booth for the qualifying rounds and the games in the tournament room for finals; however, any game on the floor or in the tournament may be used should the need arise. Check in for finals is at 9am Sunday morning.
Registration
Ladies may preregister online or register in person at the tournament desk during the Expo. We will limit the tournament to 44 players with a waitlist. We reserve the right to increase the number of players if suitable games become available for competition. For example, last year we were able to add 8 to have 52 players. If you are on the waitlist, check in a the tournament desk at 7:30pm.
Online registration on matchplay.events will open on Saturday, August 30 at 11:30am. (This is the same day as the Space City Open registration.) There is no cost to pre-register.
