December Selfie Tournament

Ladies and gentlemen, how about some pinball?!? Join us for TWO tournaments during the ENTIRE month of December at Einstein’s Pub Katy and Einstein’s Pub and Arcade in Richmond.

Here’s how it works: best game selfie tournament on the oldest and newest games. Take a picture with your score and post to matchplay.events – no leaderboard photos. But, there’s a catch! Only scores that begin with an even digit will be counted at Einstein’s Pub Katy, and only scores that begin with an odd digit will be counted at Einstein’s Pub and Arcade Richmond.

Katy Games: Stars and Avengers: Infinity Quest – Even Scores https://matchplay.events/live/vezb7

Richmond Games: Paragon and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Odd Scores https://matchplay.events/live/zybx7

There will be simultaneous TOPS high score tournaments on Avengers: Infinity Quest (Katy) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Richmond). You do not need to play a TOPS game for your scores to count in the selfie tournament. The TOPS tournament is sponsored by Einsteins.

The tournament will start at 1pm and will follow a head-to-head strikes format (format may be adjusted based on turnout and available games). Entry will be $5, paid back out in TGP schwag prizes. IFPA is still closed, so obviously no points involved here. Though we are all eager to get back to playing pinball, it is important to stay vigilant against COVID. If you aren’t feeling well, please please do not come. We are requiring that all tournament players wear a mask while inside.

We look forward to seeing everyone again!

New Texas Pinball League Season

BIG NEWS!!! There will now be a fourth TPL season in 2020. This new season will coincide with the State Finals (location will rotate each year — Austin > Dallas > Houston). Qualifying will be December of 2019.

Houston’s qualifying event will be at Einstein’s Pub in Katy, TX on December 15th. Note: this location is different than the one originally advertised. The new EinStein’s location will not be opened in time. Go to the original location!!!

The Texas Pinball League unites the leagues in Austin, Dallas and Houston, to create a massive, Texas-sized pinball showdown and party at Finals.

General League Overview: Each major region of Texas hosts a qualifying event, each following the same format with the top 5 players from each event advancing to the finals. The finalists converge in a single city to represent their region. Finals coordinates with the four major Texas events (Texas Pinball Festival, Houston Arcade Expo, Bat City Open, State Championship Series Finals) to reduce travel burdens. The winner are immortalized on the TPL cup and possess the cup until the next TPL season.
