    Description:

    The Ten Year Anniversary of Space City Pinball League - at 1820 Lounge (Joystix)!
    Join us Mondays at 7pm for 2 rounds of match play qualifying at the original home of the Space City Pinball League! Each round will consist of 3 games with some old and new friends - points will accumulate (7,5,3,1) over the course of the six weeks of league play, your best 5 weeks scores count towards finals. Finals will be on the 7th week for A and B Div using PAPA style playoffs. Trophy's and money for the winners in A and B - $20 dollars to play in league - 5 to the League, a dollar to IFPA and the rest for trophy's and cash prizes.

    3 strike knockout tournament at The Game Preserve NASA starting at 6:30 every Tuesday night. Ten dollar admission to the venue, games are on free play, one dollar for IFPA fees. Strikes for 3rd and 4th for 4 player games, 3rd for 3 player games. Last person without 3 strikes is the winner.

    EinStein's PhysXXX Study Group Outline

    Instructor: Space City Pinball League

    Course Curriculum : The PhysXXX curriculum includes interactions of matter and energy, velocity, accelerations, force, and momentum. Space Cadets will test their skills to manipulate physical matter using electricity and mechanical engineering constructs.

    Course Instructions : SCPL Cadets will assembly in small study groups of 3-4. Each group will attempt to outperform their group peers in a test of skill on one of the specialized electromechanical PhysXXX simulators available. Group failure rate is 50% in groups of 4 (bottom 2) and 33% in groups of 3 (bottom 1). Failure results in a single X (strike). After three failures you are on academic probation until the next schedule PhysXXX class. Only one SCPL cadet will prevail.

    Material's List: $1 for IFPA fees & coin-drop

    Prerequisite: age 21+, familiarity with concepts such as "fun" and "a good time"

    Electronic Devices: Students should be able to access http://app.matchplay.events/ on a personal electronic device.

    Description:

    A three strikes knockout tournament Tuesday at The Game Preserve starting at 7PM.

    Players are placed in groups of 3-4 and play on a random machine. The bottom two players (bottom player in three player groups) of each game receive a strike. Players who receive three strikes are eliminated from the next round.

    $10 Entry for The Game Preserve if not a member. Free play machines.
    $1 Entry fee for IFPA.

    Description:

    SCPL presents: The Super Saturdays Showdown

    Explore pinball around Space City on the first Saturday of the month! Space City Pinball will host WPPRtunity tournaments at various venues around town with space for large groups. Each event will consist of 8 rounds of group matchplay that will be used to accumulate series points. Rounds will use IFPA scoring (7/5/3/1). Finals formats may vary depending upon the location.

    This month we will play at Eureka Heights. All ages. Coin drop.

    Those who play in the Super Saturday Showdown Series will be eligible for division awards given out by SCPL at the end of the year. While each tournament will be submitted to the IFPA separately, the final series standings will be for recognition and awards.

    Our 2026 series will begin in February with ten opportunities to play to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Space City Pinball! The top 7 events will count towards the series ranking for division awards in December:

    Location: 7600 John Q Hammons Dr. Frisco, TX


    Description:

    The event will take place the day prior to the Texas Pinball Festival's Wizard's tournament and will be run by Space City Pinball tournament director, David Dronet.
    Entry is capped at 60 players and is first come, first served.
    Tournament Director may add additional players if suitable games become available.
    Registration will begin at 4:15 PM. The tournament starts at 5pm.
    We anticipate high demand for this event, so please arrive early and queue in an orderly fashion.

    The primary goal of this tournament is to battle test and gather data on games prior to the major weekend events.
    Players are expected to be scrutinizers.

    Format
    Fair strikes format. 5 strikes per player. (0-1-2 in 3 player groups, 0-1-1-2 in 4 player groups).
    Swiss pairing. Balanced game selection. Balanced player order.
    The tournament will be managed using the app.matchplay.events website. The IFPA/PAPA rules will be used.

    Pre-Registration and Fees
    There will be a $20 fee, paid in CASH at check in. Fees will be used to cover awards, trophy and miscellaneous expenses.

    Any remaining fees will be paid out to the highest finishing finalists:
    40% to 1st, 30% to 2nd, 20% to 3rd, and 10% to 4th.
